Israeli born mezzo-soprano Hadar Halevy sprang to international attention at the 2002 Wexford Festival as Bianca in Mercadante’s Il Giuramento. Following her great success in Wexford, Halevy made impressive debuts on some of opera’s most prestigious stages, starting with the Deutsche Oper in Berlin playing the role of Laura in La Gioconda, and immediately after as Carmen in New York. Halevy then made her Italian debut at the Teatro Carlo Felice in Genoa as Malcolm in La Donna del Lago by Rossini, under the direction of maestro Alberto Zedda.
